No-Go Gauge™

Designed for Quick checks, the Bethlehem Wire Rope® No-Go Gauge™ is based upon the diameter reduction criteria as specified by ASME. Manufactured of anodized aluminum for its lightweight, durable construction, the No-Go Gauge is more accurate than the original plastic model designed and produced by Wirerope Works, Inc. in 1994. The diameter grooves will not wear as readily, nor will the grooves accommodate a rope that has a diameter still within acceptable limits under A17.1 specifications. Nominal diameter is provided on one side of the gauge, with ASME diameter reduction criteria for rope retirement on other side. The No-Go Gauge can be used with rope diameters 3/8" through 3/4", and has grooves in 1/16" increments.
